What time is it?!

I suck at time management lately.
I swear I am late to everything.
I'm even 2 days late posting this confessional.
 It's not my fault.
I make good plans.
But then everyone else screws it up.
Honest.

Trick or NO treats

Big Mama

I started this post Tuesday night and it went something like this...
"Gonna mark this last week down as a big FAIL!  On Thursday I hit the gym with loads of motivation and with Fergie's help got through my mile without dying.  But then...life showed up and I didn't really have time for the gym, but I'll continue to work on this one."

However after further review and my pants not being so damn tight I'm going to dub this week a "work in progress" not a complete failure!

This week I will be working on cutting out the mindless snacks and bad snacks in general.  This will be especially hard since we're just beginning the holiday season.  I sit at a desk all day and sometimes I have a habit to have sancky food around.  It's funny to see my nieces come into the office because they know there are 2 places to look for the good stuff.  I'll just nibble throughout the day even if I'm not hungry.  Also, watching tv is another bad one for me.  I love snacks with a good movie!

I knit sweaters yo!

In honor of Taylor Swift's new album coming out today (yes I bought it already, yes I'm geeky like that) I give you my top 5 T-Swizzle songs:

5. Invisible ~ For the crush who can't see how unbelievable we would be together.
4. Should've Said No ~ I'm glad you didn't, I would have went on blindly loving you all my life.
3. Superstar ~ I know your not right for me but I can't help the way I feel.
2. Untouchable ~ So close, yet so far away.
1. Best Day ~ Takes me back to so many childhood memories with my parents.  I'm blessed.

Girl got street cred.

It's a love story

* I love the Yankees.

* But, I won't cry if the Rangers win.

 * I love, love underdog stories.

* I also love Josh Hamilton.

* Even though he's kind of a creep.

* What is it about women that makes us love the broken ones?

A day late and 3 pounds less.

Big Mama

Yes technically this should have been posted yesterday.  Better late than never, mama always says (that's just a phrase I don't think I've ever actually hear my mother say that).

I'm going to count this as a success even though  after a few days I had to cut back to 2 bottles.  I'm sorry but do know how many trips to the bathroom come with 64 oz. of water a day???

I don't know if it's the water or not but I have noticed I have more energy and I'm sleeping A LOT better.  I did lose 3 pounds this week.  Of course the switch from white to wheat bread and light mayo on my turkey sandwich probably helped.

The agenda for this week is run 1 mile 3 times a week.  This may sound weak considering I usually do 2.5 - 3 miles on the treadmill 2-3 times a week now.  But, here's the thing, I never run a whole mile.  I run/walk
I don't know what it is but I really want to be a runner.  Not like in the marathon sense, but I see people running all the time and they seem like they really enjoy it.  I hate it.  But, I want to love it!

No sex and the city.

I don't know about you, but I'm so sick of seeing all this "celebrate your man week" "husband week" "mommy week" "dad week" and such nonsense on FB.
I'm gonna be honest the worst has been "mommy week" posting the day you became a mom for the first time.  Besides the fact that no one can decide officially what week it is, they all have it different, it sometimes feels like a dagger to the heart.  Everytime I see that on my home page it reminds me I am one year older next month and not any closer to celebrating my own "mommy week".

Don't worry about me though, cuz it's "I'm single week" all year long!  And here's how I celebrate:

* I go to the movies and I get to pick everytime.  Chick flick?  No complaints here.
* Same goes for dinner.  I always choose the restaraunt.
* If I wanna have oreo's and milk for dinner, I do it.
* I don't have to split holidays with any in-laws.
* I spend as much money as I want on cute boots and don't have to hide them in the back of the closet.
* I don't need to worry about getting a babysitter.
* Girls Night Out = your life.
* Five words: Full control of the remote.

Bitter?  Just. A. Tad.

I'm sensing a theme here

I honestly didn't plan it this way, but it's an all girls week.

5. "I Break Things" Ericka Jo ~ sometimes it feels good to throw a dish or two.

4. "Bad Romance" Lady Gaga ~ not a fan of all things Gaga but I believe the pain in her voice when she sings "I don't wanna be friends"

3. "Too Little, Too Late" JoJo ~ With a player like you, I don't have a prayer.

2. "Samson" Regina Spektor ~ seriously if you can work in the phrase "a slice of wonder bread" in your song, thats awesome writing.

1. "Crazier" Taylor Swift ~ I've never gone with the wind, just let it flow.  I bet it's a good feeling.

Sticky situation

*I hate awkward situations.

*Even on TV.

*I'll turn the channel if I start to feel too uncomfortable.

*It's like the people inside the TV know I'm watching.

*This is also why I won't tell people when their fly is open.

*Or the have a big green thing in their teeth.

*Or TP out their pants or shoe.

*Let me apologize in advance if this happens to you while your with me.

*Somehow this does not stop me from watching trashy reality shows.

*I don't know why because they show some of the most awkward situations EVER.

It's benefits are numerous

Big Mama

Change?  I can change.  I've thought about this for a few weeks and I haven't joined simply because I'm afraid of failure.
  Yep!  I'm a big chicken.

But here goes nothing...or  hopefully a whole lot of something.

I joined a gym back in March, yes March.  Yes I still look the same. No I haven't lost a single pound.
That's not exactly accurate I did lose almost 15 at the start, but I'm not counting it cuz it found me again.

I've thought of the many changes I could make:
Give up sweets, I'm not ready.
Give up Coke, I wouldn't make it through the day.
Give up In N Out....Are you trying to kill me?

I'm starting to have second thoughts.  Why is this all about me giving up stuff?
I've decided to add to my diet.  What you say?  That's insane??  I'll never lose???
Well jokes on you because I'm adding water.  Water has tons of benefits, google it.  Google is the source of all truth.  In my office we stock the 16 ounce bottles so I'll just add 3 of these bad boys to my day and that will fulfill my 8x8 requirement.  What's "8x8" you ask?  Well it's recommeded you drink 8- 8 ounce glasses of water per day.

Sounds easy right?  Check back next week to see.

Music Monday

Sometimes the hardest thing about blogging is finding something to write about.  Often times I find myself just wanting to complain.  However, today I got to sleep in until 8!  So not much to complain about here.  I would blog about new things in my life but let's face it, my life is kinda boring.  I mean, I love it but, there's only so many times you can blog about Karate Kid.

My top 5 songs for this week:

5. Enrique Iglesias "I like it" you'll find yourself fist pumping with the Jersey Shore kids during the chorus.
4. The Band Perry "If I Die Young" loving the lead singers voice.
3. Chris Ledoux "Riding for a Fall" classic heartbreak song.
2. Katy Perry "Teenage Dream"  sorry Ryanne (she hates KP, I can't figure it out)
1. Paula DeAnda "Walk Away (Remember Me)" I can seriously listen to this on repeat all day.

So there's my top 5 songs I'm listening to right now.  What's rockin' your world?

I'm a hazzard to myself.

Well it started out well enough. I got home from work and decided I was going to fight through my headache and go to the gym. I got dressed, laced up my running shoes and as I pulled into the gym parking lot, I realized my headphones were in my truck. The same truck which is somewhere up North hunting elk with my brother.  I cannot workout without music. What would I listen to?  I can tell you, with no headphones, I end up listening to the hum of the machines which is a motivational killer.

On my way to Kmart to buy headphones (at least my 100th pair this year) I remembered these cute flats I had seen a few months earlier. Also, I've been wanting to buy a new movie. I left Kmart 35 minutes later with a new sports bra.

I was feeling kind of down so I decided to go to Arby's and get some mozzarella sticks. Because really that's what every fat girl needs...fried cheese.  At the pay window I decided to add a chocolate shake. I got it for FREE! Yes the guy at the drive through was so nice he just gave it to me. I suddenly felt vindicated. It's surprising what a little chocolately goodness can do to your mood.

Stop judging, it was a small!  And I still need headphones.
