I confess. . . .

*  I can't bring myself to pay for cable/internet so I am without at home.

*  Before I would have died without my Direct TV.

*  Now I just keep thinking "That's $70 I could spend on something I really want or need"

*  I can still go to my brother's house to catch any sports I don't want to miss (damn you Red Wings!)

*  To prevent my death by boredom I've discovered the library again.

*  Currently I'm watching season 1 of Gilmore Girls.

*  The longer I go without cable, the more I realize how much soul damaging crap is on TV these days.

*  Where's the shows like Growing Pains, Full House, Who's The Boss, Charles In Charge???

*  You know the ones where there was a crisis but the family would pull together in the end and there was a lesson to be learned.

*  Now it's all CSI-SVU who killed this person and who raped that person and reality crap!  Crap I tell you!

*  By the way does anyone know when the new season of Jersey Shore starts cuz there in Italy and I don't want to miss that. . . . I'm just watching to learn about the country. . . .and stuff. . . .

Giddy on up, giddy on out. . . .

*  I am ticked at Blogger!

*  My 'We want to know Wednesday' was erased.

*  I tried to recreate but it wasn't the same :(

*  43 days back in my own place and still have not unpacked....just thought you might want to know what I have NOT been doing.

*  Sometimes I burp in front of my boss.

*  Office etiquette?  No, but I figure it makes us even for when he stinks up the bathroom.

*  Do you ever feel like the days just run together?

*  I've had that feeling lately.  Like every week is the same.

*  Tomorrow I am taking my nephew to a PBR event.  It's not the big wig boys but it's still bull riding and who doesn't want this as their date:

Let's try this again. . . .

I don't know what the duck happened but it erased my post on Wednesday so I'll try to recreate:

{1} What game show have you always thought you could be on and totally WIN!
Press Your Luck.   I don't think I would win but it looks fun saying "No whammies, no whammies!!"

{2} Do you have a tattoo(s)? What are they and what made you chose them? If not, would you get one, yes/no/why?
No and No.  I just don't think I could commit to something so permanent.  And there's that whole your body is a temple issue and what not.

{3} What is your favorite piece of jewelry that you own?
My lucky 88 earrings.  Not that I've ever gotten lucky while wearing them but still. . . .

{4} What is your driving pet peeve(s)?
People who speed up so you cannot change lanes.
People in the next car staring at me while I jam to my awesome tunes.
Passengers who touch the radio.
Passengers who sing with the radio but don't actually know the words. Passengers who talk too much.
Back seat drivers.
{5} What was your favorite sitcom growing up that you wish was still on?
Growing Pains.

{1} What game show have you always thought you could be on and totally WIN!
Press Your Luck!  I don't think I could win but I love saying "No whammies, no whammies!"
{2} Do you have a tattoo(s)? What are they and what made you chose them? If not, would you get one, yes/no/why?
No.  I don't have one, and I would not get one.  I just don't think I could live with something permanently etched on my body.  I can't even commit to a hair color how could I commit to a tattoo?

{3} What is your favorite piece of jewelry that you own?
My 88 earrings.  I think they're lucky.  Not that I've ever gotten lucky while wearing them but still. . . .

{4} What is your driving pet peeve(s)?
People who will speed up so you cannot change lanes.
Drivers in the next vehicle applying make up, texting, staring at me, etc.
Back seat drivers.
Passengers who touch the stereo.
Passengers who adjust the heat/air.
Passengers who sing with the radio but don't know the words.
Passengers who talk too much.
Passengers.

{5} What was your favorite sitcom growing up that you wish was still on?
Growing Pains.

I love me some Kirk Cameron!

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire. . . .

Photobucket

I confess. . . .

* I stepped on the scale today for the first time in about a month.

* Suprisingly, it didn't break.

* But, my heart sure did.

* I am at my peak weight. . . .meaning, I've never been fatter than I am at this moment.

* On a brighter note, I recently found out when my tenants moved out they left behind some of their friends.

* German Cockroaches.

* These guys get all up in your business.

* Literally!  They get inside your appliances, like inside the walls and doors of the appliances.

* Not only are they difficult to get rid of, it's also an expensive process.

* Lucky for me I'm lazy and have yet to unpack so I didn't have to pull everything from the cupboards before the pest control company could lay the poison gel stuff.

* So I got that going for me.

* Plus, I figure I can always just burn the damn house down right?

A person often meets their destiny on the road they took to avoid it. . . .

{1} If money didn't matter, where would your perfect vacation take place? Briefly describe.
Charlotte, North Carolina.  I want to tour all the race shops and drive a stock car, not a ride-along-while-the-experienced-driver-goes-fast, oh no no,give me the keys.

{2}What's a bad habit that you have (or had) that is/was hard to break?
Coca-Cola you devil!  I know pop is bad and the root of all evil and all that stuff....but I love it!  And I hate when people say "after you've quit for a while it doesn't even taste good"....uhm NO!  Pretty sure it is still delicious and calls to me in my sleep.

{3} If you weren't on a diet or counting calories, what would you like to have for dinner tonight?
Please!  Counting calories is for rich people who hate them selves.  I'll probably have whatever is being served up at Harmon's deli because I still haven't unpacked....it's a long story about cockroaches that I'm not ready to talk about.

{4} If you had the chance to interview anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and what's one question that you would ask?
Enrique Iglesias - Would you give me one of those famous kisses you are always giving strange women at your concerts?

{5} Describe yourself in 6 words.
Not who I thought I'd be.

All American rejects. . . .

I have some big changes coming at work I'm a little scared about.  I won't get into it right now because this is a PG blog (well sometimes PG-13 but whatever).  So today I started to think about my first real job.  I'm not talking about the extra chores you got paid for or picking corn for 25 cents a bucket (I can't afford the xanex for that therapy session) but my first real job, like taxes deducted, I could have been fired, real.
RGIS Inventory Specialists.
Or as the employees like to refer to it "Rejects".  Yes.  That was their own little nickname for themselves, I kid you not.

Things I learned from this job:
* 10 key
* Working nights sucks! You never sleep well, even on your days off.
* 10 minute smoke breaks every hour is no bueno if you don't smoke.
* Referring to themselves as rejects was the only thing most of these people did right.
* If you do your job efficiently and do it right the first time, you don't get rewarded, you get more work.
