Run or Walk. . . .

It's been a while since I've shared on music on Monday.  Actually it's been a while since I posted anything besides WYRW.  I saw your post on FB Ry about needing new tunes for your workout.  This is mine.  They aren't new songs but they are pump you up songs that always kept me going on the treadmill at the gym.

Fort Minor - Remember The Name
Nelly, P. Diddy - Shake Ya Tailfeather
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
JLo - Ain't It Funny
Enrique Iglesias - I Like It
Chris Brown - I Can Transform Ya
Kelly Clarkson - Never Again
Chantal Kreviazuk - Feels Like Home To Me.  (for some good yoga stretches at the end of your workout!)

When your down

You know how you always wish you could stay in bed all weekend and just lounge in your p.j.'s and relatively do nothing?  Well I did.  And it sucked.  My back was literally trying to kill me all weekend long.  It hurt to stand, sit, roll over, lay down, cough, laugh, sneeze, in general anything that required movement or to stay still.  In honor of this weekends pain I am tweeking my Monday Music and giving you Monday Movies.  My top 5 movies to watch while stuck in bed (at least the ones that kept me sane this weekend).

5. Karate Kid 1, 2, & 3, and the new one with Jaden Smith ~  The fly swatter is my fav scene..."uhhh that's nasty"

4. Young Guns 1 & 2 ~ "Best dollar eighty I ever spent!"

3. Prince of Persia ~  Jake.  Gyllenhaal.

2.  The Man From Snowy River & Return to Snowy River ~  Love me some Jim Craig!  "There's a dozen good brood mares in there, I'll be back for them....and for whatever else is mine"

1. and my #1 that is getting me through life right now if you haven't seen I highly recommend it.  If your around me for more than 5 minutes you have heard the quotes.....BABY MAMA!  ~ "Then I realized that I am, um, I'm man-no, I'm ma-ok, manorexic. & it's really hard because she's so fat, & I love Christopher so much and he's fat, and I'm afraid that the baby's gonna be fat & it's just me and two fatties."

Speak Now

"Real life is a funny thing, you know.  In real life saying the right thing at the right moment is beyond crucial.  So crucial, in fact, that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.  But lately what I've begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything.  There is a time for silence.  There is a time for waiting your turn.  But if you know how you feel, and you clearly know what you need to say, you'll know it." ~ Taylor Swift

So here are my top 5 songs from the new album "Speak Now", and a little lyrical sampling.

5. Mine ~ "you are the best thing, that's ever been mine"

4. Better Than Revenge ~ "she's not a saint, and she's not what you think, she's an actress but she's better known for things that she does on the mattress"

3. Speak Now ~ "all eyes on me, horrified looks from everyone in the room, but I'm only looking at you"

2. Mean ~ "someday I'll be livin' in a big ole city, and all you're ever gonna be is mean, and a liar and pathetic and alone in life and mean, why you gotta be so mean"

1. Back to December ~ "you gave me roses and I left them there to die, you gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye"

Bonus song (puh-leeeze! I can't pick just 5): Haunted ~ "it's getting dark and it's all so quiet and I can't trust anything now, come on, come on, don't leave me like this, I thought I had you figured out"

5. "I Break Things" Ericka Jo ~ sometimes it feels good to throw a dish or two.

4. "Bad Romance" Lady Gaga ~ not a fan of all things Gaga but I believe the pain in her voice when she sings "I don't wanna be friends"

3. "Too Little, Too Late" JoJo ~ With a player like you, I don't have a prayer.

2. "Samson" Regina Spektor ~ seriously if you can work in the phrase "a slice of wonder bread" in your song, thats awesome writing.

1. "Crazier" Taylor Swift ~ I've never gone with the wind, just let it flow.  I bet it's a good feeling.

Music Monday

Sometimes the hardest thing about blogging is finding something to write about.  Often times I find myself just wanting to complain.  However, today I got to sleep in until 8!  So not much to complain about here.  I would blog about new things in my life but let's face it, my life is kinda boring.  I mean, I love it but, there's only so many times you can blog about Karate Kid.

My top 5 songs for this week:

5. Enrique Iglesias "I like it" you'll find yourself fist pumping with the Jersey Shore kids during the chorus.
4. The Band Perry "If I Die Young" loving the lead singers voice.
3. Chris Ledoux "Riding for a Fall" classic heartbreak song.
2. Katy Perry "Teenage Dream"  sorry Ryanne (she hates KP, I can't figure it out)
1. Paula DeAnda "Walk Away (Remember Me)" I can seriously listen to this on repeat all day.

So there's my top 5 songs I'm listening to right now.  What's rockin' your world?
