Online dating 101. . . .
Can't say I'm excited about this topic. But I know people who have had success and with my opportunities only narrowing from here on out I took the plunge.

First off the profile picture:
Cliff jumping in Hawaii is not your real life. That was one day three and a half years ago.
Also, men who include photo's of their children on their profile...no, stop it.
Girl's are no better. I once saw a guy's profile that said "If you have a profile pic that is zoomed in to only your face or angled in such a way to hide your fat, don't bother messaging me".
Who told our secret?!!
Interests:
No
wonder your single, you're too busy biking, boating, camping, fishing,
hiking, paintball, rock climbing, snowmobiling, traveling, and having
such a fabulous life to meet anyone.
I'm exhausted just reading your profile! Who has that much time?
Send a flirt:
Most guys see this as lazy and impersonal (which it probably is and I am most of the time). A lot of them will even tell you in their profile to not expect a response from a flirt.
Send a comment/message:
What do I say to someone I don't know, never met, and is probably lying about 89% of the info on their profile.
If a guy flirts with me or sends me a message I immediately try to find him on FB. FB does not lie. LDS Singles may say that he is "goal oriented", "attends church frequently", or make him sound like a mushy Hallmark card but the photo's from last Friday night are telling a different story.
And don't be so forward! Actual message I recieved:

Subject: Hey young girl,
3:30 PM on 4/30/2013
Hey young girl, you are fine and funny. I like your profile, don't fear
giving others your food, I would like to eat it. I always clean my
dishes same night I cook, can be doing that if we would be together.
Would like to start a relationship with you. what is your mind about it?
I don't even know what half that message is about. I can't mentally make myself respond to crap like this.
Then I will never have it all.

Amazing what a little sun can do. . . .
On Saturday I got up waaay too early for a Saturday and went to watch Cooper play baseball.
If felt really good just to be outside and be in the warm sun.
I get really tired of being in my office tower 8 hours a day.
I'm looking forward to Spring.
I mean actual Spring.
Not the Stg spring that lasts 1 week and then goes directly to 120 degree summer.
No. Not looking forward to that business.
It's amazing how a little warm sun can change your mood!
I'm just flaky. . . .
I took a break.
After doing my photo blog last year I needed a little break. So, I'm back, hopefully with more posts but probably not so I won't put my expectations way up there.

Saw it, pinned it, made it. . . .
This was really, really yummy! Hopefully the left overs are just as good because I halved the recipe
(I'm cooking for one)
and it still made a lot.
Easy Mexican Casserole

and it still made a lot.
Easy Mexican Casserole
1 pound lean ground beef
1 can Ranch Style beans
1 10-12 ounce bag tortilla chips, crushed
1 can Ro-tel tomatoes with green chili's
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 package taco seasoning
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup water
sour cream and salsa for serving
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a large skillet, brown meat and drain off fat. Stir in beans, tomatoes, onion, taco seasoning, soup and water. Simmer over medium-low heat until everything is well combined and heated through.
Grease a 9×13 casserole dish. Put down a layer of crushed tortilla chips, followed by a layer of the meat/bean mixture, then half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers. Cover with foil and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until bubbly.
Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving. Top with sour cream and salsa.

Getting to know you. . . .
* If your life had a soundtrack, what would the theme-song be?
Lately I find myself just longing to be home in Enterprise.
*What movie can you quote word for word?
I am a movie FREAK! So there are quite a few I could quote almost word for word.
Tommy Boy
Robin Hood (the Kevin Costner version)
Aladin
Smokey and the Bandit
But probably my most oft quoted,
Talladega Nights.
*What is the absolute best dish you cook? (And if you feel so inclined, leave the recipe for me!)
Mexican Delight.
Mix cooked hamburger, refried beans, and tomato soup. Serve over Frito chips. Top with lettuce, salsa, sour cream (like a taco salad).
*How old where you when you had your first kiss? Was it a good or bad experience?
5th Grade. Near the basketball courts. Lorin Bracken. It was actually a really good kiss, I still remember, even though I was way, WAY too young.

*What nicknames do (or did) you have?
I've had many through the years. However for the past several years it's been "E".

Feeling stubborn and ungrateful. . . .
You've come to the right place.
Here we are. November once again. Everyone in Facebook land is doing the "30 Days of Thankful". It's all great and wonderful that you're so grateful, but do I have to read about it for 30 days?
You know what I'm thankful for?
The block button!
So I don't have to read about how wonderful your life is.
On the flip side I'm also not your therapist so don't go posting all the crap that is wrong in your life.
Is too much to ask for people to just post a middle of the road, everyone wins status?

How I ended up going on a Safari last night. . . .
Laying on my bed a little after 7PM trying to convince myself to workout or at least move out to the living room in front of the tv, I noticed something on the ceiling.
An elephant head.
"Yes. That is so cool. Oh my gosh."
Then it hit me.
OH. MY. GOSH.
My life is so boring I'm picking out animal shapes on the ceiling! I almost had a moment of weakness where I text that guy. You know, the one that's no good for you but you still see each other once in a while because...well, life gets kind of boring. But I didn't. I texted Ryanne instead. She convinced me it was ok to be bored on a Tuesday night.
So I did some yoga and had a taco. Turned out to be a pretty awesome night.
